Planimeter on Android: improved UI with new drawer menu.

Drawer MenuOur Android app for GPS tracking and distance/area measurements on Google Maps, Planimeter, has been updated with improvements to option menu. As been mentioned before some users had problems finding option menu on Samsung devices. Now this problem has been resolved with drawer menu that can be reached as before by touching menu button or by swiping from the left edge of the screen.Version 3.8.4 is available on Google Play.

Android: Planimeter has been updated with a new feature that helps you to add points on the map using exact addresses of different locations and estimate distance between points and total travel distance. You can also map your favorite addresses on the map and save or export it as KML file.Use LONG touch on My Location button to add pins on the map using address dialog (see video).

How to use “Planimeter – GPS Area Measure” on iOS and Android in Manual Tracking Mode.

Tracking Mode is one of the distinctive features of Planimeter - GPS Area Measure app. It can be used to measure track or path distances and to measure areas of objects or territories by driving/biking/walking around. You have an option to set GPS accuracy (if GPS is available on your device) and time interval for dropping a pin. If both conditions are satisfied, your current location is added to to the track automatically. Please note, mobile GPS provides accuracy ~2-3m in the best conditions, so make sure it is enough to satisfy your particular requirements.Sometimes you want to measure an area or distance using tracking feature but you need to place waypoints manually only at certain locations and avoid redundant points in between. Update v3.8.0 for “Planimeter - GPS Area Measure” on Android features Magnifying Glass option in Edit Mode.This feature comes in handy when you need to adjust pins accurately on the map while working in Edit Mode.
