The first version of Partometer3D app for iOS is now available on the App Store. The main goal of this app is to perform measurements on pictures taken from any view angle (parallel  or not parallel to a camera). Please check this presentation for more info. The app also allows users to do measurements on stretched pictures. Presentation about Partometer3D.Task: measure pencil accurately using square wooden tile and credit card. How to measure:I use square wooden tile to define the measurement plane. I don't know its dimensions, but I know that it's SQUARE: - I go to Preferences and select Measurement Plane as Custom Plane. - Then in How plane is defined I select Only W/H Ratio. - Then in Custom Plane W/H Ratio I enter 1.0 (square shape). Now with this settings I can define measurement plane using the wooden tile. I need to set the scale for the measurement plane in selected units (mm). To do this I place a credit card on the plane and use its LONG side as a reference (ROL). Then I set ROL size in Preferences:Using ROL is selected automatically.Touch Reference…

New Partometer update v4.5 brings requested improvement to the Angle Mode. Now you can measure angles that are not visible or partially visible on the screen. It is achieved with the new option of using two independent (not connected) rulers for angle measurements.The pictures below demonstrates how the new feature can be used:Angle Mode in Partometer v4.5For example, the new feature can be applied for the pipe bend estimation. If the diameter of a pipe is known, it can be used as a scale reference. Then bend angle and bend radius are easy to measure using the app. Important condition for accurate measurements here is to keep object plane parallel to the camera plane to avoid picture distortion. Michelin Pressure Calculator Application has been recently published on Google Play. The application calculates proper tire pressure for tractors based on user inputs. VisTech.Projects has participated in this project as a developer.One of distinctive features of this app is the ability to perform measurements on pictures. We have implemented it as a “camera measure module” based on our technology used in Partometer application and adapted it for quick and convenient estimation of wheelbase and other distances needed for pressure calculation.The application is simple and easy to use and has options to save, view and share data reports. French, English, Spanish and German are supported. Farmers can use this tool for quick pressure calculations for different Tire / Tool configurations.
